A recap of episode 6
The reporters of Daily Alaskan investigated the independent cases of two missing women in Alaska Daily Episode 6. One was a white tourist, Henley, who fell off a cruise ship while the other was a local Yupik woman, Jade. And it was clear from the start that the government would treat these two cases very differently.
While they spent over $1 million searching for Henley, they failed to acknowledge Jade’s disappearance. Eileen and Roz decided to work together to write a comparison article that exposed the governor’s discrimination. And the two articles went viral.
Elsewhere in the session, Stanley received information that the Pritchards had bought land. And Eileen discovered that most of the funding from the governor’s crisis task force for missing and murdered Indigenous women went to Conrad Pritchard’s public relations firm. She confronted him about it, but that only upset his son Aaron.
At the end of Alaska Daily Episode 6, the concerned citizen walked into Eileen’s office with a gun. While she begged him not to use it, he told her that she “left him no choice.” And cut to black.
TIED TOGETHER: ‘Alaska Daily’: Alaskans react to ABC show’s authenticity
Our prediction for episode 7 of “Alaska Daily”.
Enemy of the People preview shows the concerned citizen’s behavior escalating after confronting Eileen. Police become aware of the hostage situation and SWAT teams surround them Daily Alaskan. The other reporters and Aaron rush to the crime scene, and Bob even eerily says, “He has no intention of getting out alive.”
In the office building, the concerned citizen says to Eileen: “You are spreading lies. You suppress the truth. And now you’re dead.” At the end of the promo, gunshots are heard and a SWAT member says, “Shots fired! shots fired!”
We have no doubt that Eileen will survive being held hostage by the concerned citizen. She’s the star of the show, so she’s not going anywhere any time soon. However, the hostage situation will be intense and will scare Eileen for a long time. And maybe she gets wounded during the traumatic event, or maybe the affected citizen is the one who gets shot.
Whatever the case, the citizen concerned is not one to mess with. And we expect the hostage situation to have an impact for the rest of the season.
