The college football season is nearing the home stretch as Week 12 arrives with another packed game schedule on the agenda. As usual, CBS Sports Network will be the setting for a marathon of action stretching from coast to coast as conference races take place and teams compete for bowl eligibility.

The action begins on Wednesday as Northern Illinois hosts Miami (Ohio) in a midweek MACtion between two sides looking to recover from close defeats. Then Saturday brings four games for East Coast viewers, stretching from noon East until well past midnight.

First up is a clash of Independents as the Army lines up UConn with the newly Bowl-able Huskies trying to stay hot. Action returns to the MAC in the afternoon when Buffalo hosts Akron. Then, in the evening, The Mountain West takes center stage with two games that have important implications for the conference title. Wyoming hosts Boise State first in a game that could decide the Mountain Division. Finally, Fresno State travels to Nevada for the nightcap as the Bulldogs try to get closer to a West Division crown.

Storylines: First-year UConn coach Jim L. Mora has qualified for the Huskies bowl for the first time since 2015 after an upset 36-33 win over Liberty last week. The Huskies had amassed an abysmal 4-32 record in the past three seasons prior to his arrival. Army suffered a heartbreaking 10-9 loss in Troy last week, falling to 3-6 for the year. Bowl eligibility remains a possibility, however, with a winnable game expected in Umass next week before the all-important season-closing Navy game.

Storylines: It’s been a tough first season for Akron coach Joe Moorhead as he tries to revive a program that had only gone 3-27 in the three years prior to his arrival. The Zips fell to 9-1 in a 34-28 loss to Eastern Michigan last week but have been competitive in league play almost every week. Buffalo must win one of its last two games to qualify for the Bowl after losing 31-27 in Central Michigan last week. The Bulls have won four straight games in the series.

State of Boise Wyoming

Storylines: This will likely determine who will represent Mountain West’s Mountain Division in the league title game. Wyoming kept its title hopes alive last week with a 14-13 win at Colorado State while Boise State handled Nevada in the snow. The Broncos lead the all-time streak 15-1 and have won five straight games, but the stakes will be even higher than usual this time.
