Week 12 NFL picks for Lions vs. Bills

Before you tune into Thursday’s Bills vs. Lions game, you need to check out SportsLine’s advanced computer model NFL picks. The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, has fetched well over $7,000 for $100 players with top-tier NFL picks since its inception. The model enters Week 12 of the 2022 NFL season with an incredible 155-109 run of top-flight NFL picks, stretching back to the 2017 season.

The model has also ranked in the top 10 on NFLPickWatch in four of the last six years with straight NFL picks, beating more than 94% of CBS Sports football pick ’em players four times in that span. Whoever followed it is way up.

For Lions vs. Bills, the model supports Buffalo (-9) to cover on the street. Recent Thanksgivings were not a happy one for Detroit, which lost five straight games over the holiday. Only one player on the roster, left tackle Taylor Decker, has seen a Thanksgiving win in a Lions jersey.

As for Buffalo, one of his only weaknesses all year has been his running game outside of Josh Allen, but that looked like a strength in Week 11. Devin Singletary and James Cook each had 86 grounded yards and the Bills total of 164 rushing yards from RBs was a season high.

The Bills are expected to churn out over 130 rushing yards Thursday, averaging a robust 5.6 yards per carry. Allen will get a chance to build on his MVP nomination as he is expected to throw nearly 330 yards with multiple touchdown passes. With the Bills’ productivity on offense, they’ll have sustained drives and won’t give Detroit many opportunities to put points on the board. The Lions are forecast to score a touchdown below their season average, and thus Buffalo covers well over 50% of the simulations. You can stream the game here.
