in the Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, you want to be kitted out with your gear just like in the original game. But the new edition does things a bit differently. Whether you’re a new or returning player, it’s important to be aware of how to get your loadout to increase your chances of winning.
How to get your loadout Warzone 2.0.
Buy loadout weapons
Before we talk about how you actually get your loadout, it’s important to realize that you can still purchase your loadout weapons from buy stations. This is a new change that allows players to purchase their loadout weapons for $5,000 each without the gear or perks that come with your full loadout. In many cases, this is enough to survive to the end – or at least hold you until you get your loadout. If possible, always make it a habit to grab at least one weapon from the Buy Station first before purchasing your perks and other loadable gear later.
The quickest way to get your loadout is to complete one of the new Strongholds, which are bases full of enemy AI. In each game, after a while, three fortresses appear in random locations on the map, giving players the opportunity to earn their favorite weapons along the way. To complete a fortress, you must defeat the AI that appears and defuse the bomb in time. Once you defuse the bomb, your loadout will be available where the bomb was located. From here you get access to your full loadout with perks and gear.
Keep in mind that other players will also come to snag their loadouts. You don’t have to be the team or player who defuses the bomb to gain access to the loadout. However, there are still a limited number of loadouts available, so not everyone will get one by dropping by a Stronghold. However, this is the quickest way to acquire your custom gear, as these strongholds appear at the end of the first circle. Just remember, if you’re the first team there, you’ll have to fend off other players as well.
The final way to get a loadout is to purchase one from a world drop. These are similar to the loadouts of the original war zone which would periodically appear during a game. The catch here is that loadouts don’t spawn until about halfway through a game, meaning a large portion of the lobby can’t acquire one. The main thing to watch out for is that other players will see these loadout drops, so trying to grab one can be risky. You should be careful when approaching so you don’t get knocked out by other players watching the loadout drop.
