NJ.com Announces Inaugural High School Game Changers Sports Awards – Nominations Open Soon

It’s no secret that when New Jersey fans want to learn about the state’s newest high school sports heroes, they come to NJ.com.

Scan the headlines and read the stories, and you’ll find thousands of athletes in dozens of sports leaving it all on the field. Some compete with hopes of pursuing their athletic careers in college, others sweat and strive while creating lifetime memories with their teammates before moving on.

They are all game changers.

And we want to make sure the most compelling stories are told – not just for the results and amazing stats – but for the lives they touch and the people they inspire, on and off the field.

That’s why NJ Advance Media is unveiling its first ever High School Game Changers Sports Awards.

NJ.com and The Star-Ledger celebrate those who are making a difference on their teams, in their schools and in their communities.

you know who they are They are players and coaches, parents, grandparents and legal guardians. They are band members and consultants. They are members of the support associations. They are dedicated to academics, entrepreneurship, activism, service, leadership and more.

They’re the heroes of high school sports, in uniform or out – and we want you to tell us about them by nominating them.

There are 24 award categories, 17 of which have been fully nominated and voted on by the public. Seven award winners will be selected by our NJ.com sports reporters.
