Saudi Arabia makes history with a 2-1 win over Argentina in a huge upset for Messi and Argentina. Three goals were ruled out for the South American team for offside and Saudi Arabia’s heroic goalkeeper and defense dramatically maintained their advantage until the whistle ended the game. France started with strong wins against Australia, Mexico against Poland and Denmark against Tunisia were even games that resulted in a draw with no goals to celebrate. The greatest moment came when Mexican goalkeeper Ochoa saved a penalty kick from Poland’s star striker Lewandowski

FRANCE 4 – AUSTRALIA 1

Australia started winning but France took control of the game as Giroud and Mbappe scored for the champions.

MEXICO 0 – 0 POLAND

Mexico and Poland drew apart after Mexican goalkeeper Memo Ochoa saved a penalty kick from Poland’s star striker Lewandowski.

ARGENTINA 1 – SAUDI ARABIA 2

With 3 goals disallowed by VAR, Argentina and Messi were unable to score more to equal the 2 goals scored by Tunisa within 5 minutes.

DENMARK 0 – 0 TUNISIA

The USA’s long-awaited debut after missing out on the last World Cup was thwarted by Gareth Bale at the helm of Wales. England gave hope to their fans around the world with a mighty smack against Iran, which is silent during the national anthem ceremony.

Gareth Bale frustrates USA win towards the end of the game.

SENEGAL 0 – 2 NETHERLANDS

It took 85 minutes for the Netherlands to score and win against Senegal in a close game.

ENGLAND 6 – 2 IRAN

England starts strong against a limited Iran.
