While on a date night for Parker & Hardison at an ultra-secure freeport facility, the team stumbles upon another heist in progress
Summary: While hosting a date night for Parker & Hardison at a highly secure freeport facility, the team stumbles upon another heist in progress and must stop it in order to save the life of a 13-year-old boy.
During an unusual date night. Parker and Hardison find themselves trapped in a vault at an Ultra Secure Freeport facility while a real life heist is underway. Luckily, the rest of the Leverage team is on hand to help. In the end, they try to find out who is behind the real heist and why. However, things get a little more complicated when they learn that a 13-year-old boy is the heir to the money and all of the art contained within the facility.
Aldis Hodge makes his second appearance this season as Alec Hardison, with whom he enjoys a date night Beth Riesgrafs experienced thief Parker. These two characters have long been my favorites from the series and their scenes in this episode illustrate why. As they are the quirkiest characters on the show. Although Parker’s propensity to lick a dinosaur skull more than a million years old was pretty gross. Christian Kanne gets to flex a bit of muscle as Elliot, who also gets to demonstrate his knife-edge skills at a chef’s table, and he’s scary fast.
In total. We saw some pretty solid acting from all the cast in this episode.
A pretty boring standard episode in which we see a scam within a scam and some really funny, quirky moments from our favorite leveraged power couple. I loved the scenes between Beth Riesgraf and the young actor who played the 13 year old boy. Because there were a few moments where you could almost see this kid getting as quirky as Parker. And as for the big dinosaur head. Well, it proves to be a major plot point when everything is revealed at the end.
Not the best episode Leverage: Redemption has made. But it was still fun as there aren’t really bad Leverage: Redemption episodes.
