For those looking to celebrate with tradition, the 96th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade begins Thursday at 9:00 am. Those who want to watch as they prepare for the holiday celebration can tune in to NBC from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event will also be streamed live on NBC’s streaming service, Peacock, giving customers the ability to tune in from virtually anywhere. Those interested in registering for Peacock can do so on the company’s website.

If you forgot the cranberry sauce, you’re in luck, because many grocery stores are still open on the holiday. ShopRite, with locations in New Dorp, Charleston and Graniteville, will be open 24 hours a day. Stop and Shop in New Dorp, Port Richmond, Bulls Head, Eltingville and New Springville is open from 6am to 3pm

For those looking to do some Christmas shopping on Thanksgiving, options are limited as many retailers offer extended hours on Black Friday.
