10/10 Star Wars: Republic Command

Star Wars Republic Commando Delta Cover

The Delta Squad is the taillight of this spaceship. This team of elite clone commandos made their first appearance in 2005’s Star Wars: Republic Commando. Set just before Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, your compelling story lets you play as the leader of the team, giving you the chance to coordinate their actions and behavior – quite innovative for its time. Although the title offers good gunplay mechanics and a dark-gloomy atmosphere, it feels a bit repetitive and the enemy AI isn’t that brilliant.

9/10 Star Wars: Battlefront II

Star Wars Battlefront II Inferno Team Campaign

After a horrible start marked by predatory microtransactions to avoid endless grinding, Star Wars: Battlefront II managed to pull off an epic redemption arc. Over the years, EA and DICE have overhauled the progression system and constantly added lots of free DLC such as maps, heroes and content for the new films, from the The Last Jedi season in 2017 to the original trilogy updates in 2020 With such expansions, immersive multiplayer modes, and epic grand battles, Battlefront II lived up to its ancestor. A good single player campaign set between Ep VI and VII completes the package.

The plug-and-play mechanics are simple and fun, but at the same time can be a bit repetitive. They will accompany you for countless hours of play if you are brave and complete enough.

7/10 Star Wars: Battlefront II (Classic, 2005)

Star Wars Battlefront II battle clone

Even if it’s a bit outdated these days, Star Wars: Battlefront II was a blast back then and can be considered an iconic multiplayer video game in every way. Featuring massive, large-scale ground combat and fast-paced dogfights, the game felt like a vast improvement over Star Wars: Battlefront, and pushed the action even further with the addition of sprinting and rolling abilities. The single player campaign was also highly acclaimed and offers a compelling story of Darth Vader’s elite 501st Legion Stormtroopers. A timeless classic that in some respects hasn’t really been surpassed by the newer Battlefront II from 2017.

6/10 Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcasts

Star Wars Jedi Knight II Jedi Outcast lightsaber combat

Jedi Outcast is one of the best and most immersive action experiences in the world of Star Wars. The story, which follows the events of Star Wars Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith, stars Kyle Katarn, a New Republic agent. The quality of the lightsaber mechanics is pushed further, utilizing the best of the previous installment, Star Wars Jedi Knight: JDark Forces II. This title offers great fights in fascinating and well-designed locations. Unfortunately, Kyle has to settle for sixth place on this list, having been surpassed by the modern milestones of the same genre and some immortal titles.

5/10 Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order Cal Kestis

The second half of this standing begins with an instant modern classic from Respawn Entertainment. Industry veteran Vince Zampella and his studio, after mastering the art of developing shooter games, also made their mark on the action-adventure genre. In Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order you play as Cal Kestis, a Jedi Padawan, fighting against the Galactic Empire. Wielding your lightsaber and Force powers, you will embark on an epic journey set several years after the events of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.

3/10 Star Wars: Knight Of The Old Republic II: The Sith Lords

Star Wars KOTORII

The passing of the baton between BioWare Games and Obsidian Entertainment resulted in the creation of an epic story and incredible RPG. The gameplay is an upgrade beyond just more of the same, and the gray morals portrayed in the story are intriguing.

However, a few storytelling flaws and some technical hiccups, along with an atmosphere that seems less faithful to the Star Wars universe, prevent Knight of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords from reaching the level of the masterpiece that came before it.

2/10 Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leaders

Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2 Rogue Leader Battle of Endor

Released exclusively on the Nintendo Game Cube and as a launch title for the NA Market more than 20 years ago, Rogue Squadron II continues to be the pinnacle of space combat in Star Wars games. The fidelity to the original trilogy is commendable, and several sections of the films are superbly recreated. Star Wars isn’t all Jedi, Sith, lightsaber combat and blasters. The X-Wing and other starships are equally iconic, and Rogue Leader is a perfect example of just how exciting and incredible dogfights can be.
