Wednesday Star Jenna Ortega shared a behind-the-scenes snap of the newcomer Netflix Comedy starring the actress with a band-aid on her forehead.

While it appears the star injured herself during filming, fans can rest assured that the band-aid is simply a fake prop worn by her character in episode one.

In the series opening game [spoiler alert] Wednesday is wounded during a fencing class at her new school and sustains a small laceration on her forehead.
The photo, originally posted by one of the show’s makeup artists, Nirvana Jalalvand, was also shared on Jenna’s Instagram story following the drama’s release.
For those unfamiliar with the new series, it’s the latest adaptation from the world of The Addams Family, and follows Wednesday Addams as she attempts to master her nascent psychic powers at Nevermore Academy, but is distracted by a monstrous killing spree is terrorizing the school.

Described as a “detective, supernaturally steeped mystery,” the new series marks director Tim Burton’s first television venture.
Jenna wore a band-aid backstage
The official synopsis reads: “Wednesday’s attempts to master her nascent psychic abilities, stop a monstrous rampage that has been terrorizing the local townand solve the supernatural mystery that entangled her parents 25 years ago – all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.
Joining Jenna in the highly anticipated series is Luis Guzmán as Wednesday’s father Gomez Addams and Catherine Zeta-Jones as her mother Morticia Addams.

Meanwhile, Isaac Ordonez plays Wednesday’s younger brother, Pugsley Addams Game of Thrones’s Gwendoline Christie takes on the role of Larissa Weems.
Also in the cast are Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester and Joy Sunday as therapist Bianca Barclay.
Christina Ricci, who played the famous role of Wednesday Addams in the film franchise, also appears on the show as Nevermore Academy teacher Miss Thornhill.
Wednesday is available to stream now on Netflix.
