World Cup 2022 live updates: Netherlands 1-1 Ecuador

That FIFA World Cup 2022 continues with more Group A action on FOX on Friday as the Netherlands take on Ecuador at the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha, Qatar and we’ve got you covered from start to finish!

Earlier, Iran struck from a late capital Wales red card and scored two goals in added time en route to a 2-0 win and three points in Group B Senegal earned a 3-1 win Qatar and three points in Group A.

If Ecuador loses on Friday, Qatar will become the first team eliminated from the World Cup. Ecuador are without a win against European sides in their last four World Cup games and have scored just once in those four games.

Ecuador’s Enner Valencia, who scored the first two goals of the World Cup as Ecuador beat Qatar in the tournament’s opening game, had a great shot on goal but couldn’t follow up.

Dutch goalkeeper Andries Noppert made the crucial save to keep the Dutch in the lead.
